Andy Serkis is the New Host for Venom 2

Venom 2 has officially found its director. “The Symbiote has found a host in me and I’m ready for the ride…Can’t wait!” says Andy Serkis on his Twitter about his role as the director for the movie.

The first Venom movie was directed by Ruben Fleischer and was released on October 2018. The movie did a great job at the global box office and earned around $856 million. Ruben Fleischer is however not coming back this time. Sony has now signed the famous motion-capture actor Andy Serkis as director. According to the reports, Serkis was among the top contenders who were under consideration for the direction of the movie sequel.

Andy Serkis is a renowned English actor and film director who is well-known for his motion-capture roles, voice-overs, and animation. He further rose to heights when he played Caesar in Planet of the Apes, Gollum in Lord of the Rings. The shooting of the Venom sequel is expected to start this November.
