In the upcoming Joker movie, Joaquin Phoenix has taken up the role of Gotham City’s super-villain. He has revealed that he takes inspiration from the real-world influences and he acclaimed that has developed his own version of the Joker’s signature cackle after conducting detailed research.
While giving an interview to an Italian magazine, Phoenix explained where he actually got his laugh from. According to CBR, he said:
“I used to watch videos of people suffering from pathological laughter, which is a neurological disorder that makes the individuals laugh hysterically.”
Phoenix always wanted to be perfect about this one particular aspect of his character and he took inspiration from the real world influences while hunting. For the character of joker, Phoenix has also transformed his body and has become thinner in order to nail his personality and characteristics.
Joker is directed and written by Todd Phillips. The launch of the first trailer sparked interest in people, and one of the best things about the movie would be to hear the Phoenix’s version of Joker laugh.
The debut of the movie will take place on 31st August 2019 at the Venice Film Festival and will also be played at the Toronto International Film Festival in coming September. The biggest takeaway of the film would be Phoenix’s performance, and this movie is expected to perform well at the box office.
